My husbands ancestors were held at Farmington after John Speed died, while his daughtre Peachy Speed Peay lived there with her husband. Farmington has made my research of our family easier. For the past 5 to 7 years they have been helpful in telling more of a complete story. At Farmington descendants of both slave and slaveholder have come together and explore history.

My children are 9 & 11 year old boys & they enjoyed going to Farmington. We loved the self-directed walking tour & the inside tour of the house. It was very interesting.

Farmington is a rare and often overlooked gem in our community that tells a wonderful story about some of the early pioneers of Louisville history. The new spotlight theater exhibit is cutting edge and awesome for all ages - everyone should support and visit this site!!

It is like stepping back in time. The house is beautifully preserved and it comes to life with the stories from the guides. It gives one pause to think about how different daily life was almost 200 years ago. Well worth a visit!

Fabulous Lincoln Exhibit just in time for the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial. Great place for school children to learn about the connection of Lincoln to Louisville.
